Dickinson County Kinship, Inc. or Kinship has been in the Iowa Great Lakes for over ten years; serving those children who are at risk in the following areas: academic failure or dropping out of school,social skills, behavior issues, minimal healthy adult role models in their lives, juvenile delinquency, or have suffered severe or traumatic trauma.

"The kids love to just spend one-on-one time with a caring adult."

Kinship provides mentors and their mentees opportunities through programming, community service projects, activities, and workshops. We ask that the friendship continue for at least but not limited to one year with minimal contact of four hours a month doing whatever you and your mentee enjoy doing.
